Our Board members are highly motivated professionals, dedicated to the service of humanity and passionate about the development of people and communities in Africa.
Waquim Filsaime is a Haitian-American business magnate, Innovator, and Apex Leader. He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Perseverance Endeavors, Inc. and the Interim CEO of Filsaime Flavors. He serves as the Chairman for AID and President of the Colorado Coalition of Commerce. He also is a member of the National Small Business Association.
Filsaime has an extensive background in community development and restaurants. During his time with AID, he aims to improve education, employment, and living conditions in exhausted regions by collaborating resources and opportunities for sustainable development.

Sylvanus is co-founder and president of the Advocacy Initiative for Development (AID). He has vast experience working with the UN. Sylvanus worked for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (UNICTR) in Arusha, Tanzania from 2010 - 2015. From 2002 - 2008, he worked for the UN Peacekeeping Missions in Sierra Leone - United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) and United Nations Integrated Office in Sierra Leone (UNIOSIL) respectively.
